Listen up, creative cretins!  I meant to get this out to you sooner, but someone tried to park their SUV in my back seat and I was in the hospital.  One neck brace and several X-rays later, and I am fine if not sore and slightly more irradiated than before.  Enough about that!  I'm late coming out with this, so I'll be brief.

1.)  Entries to the competition must be a short story (3000 words max) or poem (8 stanzas max) that takes place in the universe that will be provided for you.  You must take directly from this prompt when writing, entries not falling in this universe will not qualify.  Hey, we're building a universe together!  How awesome is that?

2.)  Competition ends on October 18th.

3.)  Get your creative juices flowing, because there will be a $25 Amazon gift card for the best short story and poem.  Woot! What have you got to lose?

I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys and gals can come up with.  Don't forget, guild meeting September 20th at 8 p.m. eastern.  Contact Tremax if you need access to the guild Skype chats.  In the meantime, keep those forums active and never stop creating!  Oh, and drive safe out there.  I'd hate for you to destroy some innocent Nissan while lost in thought about what to write.
